My Sponsors Series: Ciera Bergman and LoneWolf Macenzie

I've been wanting to write some blog entries about the sponsors of my game show Building Shelter. Here is my first one. To start I'll be talking about Ciera Bergman and LoneWold Mackenzie. They run a shop named Vitamin Ci which is at Extraordinaire (141, 114, 22)

When it started to look like we were going to pull this thing together and start hosting the game show on a regular basis I decided it was time to seek sponsorship. At worst I figured I could get some nice prizes to give away to winners, at best I hoped to increase my 100L per win reward to something more significant.

I began searching through the forums and discovered someone in a similar position as me. They posted that they had a game they were working on and were interested in funding to get it going if I recall correctly. Now I don't need land to host my event on - we have the Shelter. I don't need lindens to fund development - the game was already created and alpha/beta tested to death. What I needed was someone to put their name on the game and offer my contestants or viewing audience something extra - prizes beyond what I was willing to offer out of pocket. Ciera had replied to this other game creator/forum poster by saying she was willing to help out original content creators. I was impressed and decided that it could not hurt to IM this person and see if she would be interested in pitching in.

Ciera was fast to respond with an emphatic yes. She's a wonerful and sweet person. The Vitamin Ci crew became the first folks to officially sponsor my brand new game show! Ciera sent me a landmark and artwork/sign to post and I stopped by the shop to check the place out and ofer friendship. Each week (when my door prize dispenser is working - it should be in great shape now) I give away 2 or more items created by Vitamin Ci to randomn audience members or players during game time.

Please stop by their place in Extraordinaire if you're into supporting people who give back to and support the community!

What does he think he's grabbing for?

Well, those are my friends Ciera and LoneWolf. I'm glad I stumbled across the forum post on secondlife.com and I'm glad that I have had a chance to meet and interact with these two individuals. Hopefully they'll continue to support my games for a long time to come. Regardless I know I'll value having enjoyed having spent time working with and hanging out with them both.
