Building Shelter Playlist Idea

I'm going to try yet another whacky idea with my streaming music today. The other whacky ideas seemed to go over fairly well and I'l eventually repeat them. In the meantime I won't be taking requests during the Building Shelter game today. Instead I've prepared a playlist that attempts to match the timing and themes for the show. Building Shelter consists of four build/vote rounds that last about 15 minutes each. There's usually a little bit of fudge time between rounds as objects are collected though. I've prepared four 15 minute(ish) segments of music that attempt to match the themes I plan on having our contestants compete with today.

Actually the first one is a bit longer than 15 minutes because the early build rounds are usually the ones that take the most time to complete. The last playlist is way long giving me time to manage the transition of the set from Building Shelter stage to Payment Podium stage. Once PP is rezzed I'll put out the request prim and start taking requests for the rest of the evening.

I'm also testing a new iTunes plugin. If you've listened to my feed in the past please let me know if you think things sound better, worse or the same. One thing this plugin SHOULD do for me is smooth out the volume levels as softer and more agressive songs feed into each other, etc. One thing about bumping genres in my stream so much is that there are some noticable volume fluctuations during a stream.

Join us for Building Shelter today at 4:30PM SLT!

You come out at night
That's when the energy comes
And the dark side's light
And the vampires roam
You strut your astro wear
And your suicide poem
And a cross from a faith
That died before Jesus came
You're building a mystery
You live in a church
Where you sleep with voodoo dolls
And you won't give up the search
For the ghosts in the halls
You wear sandals in the snow
And a smile that won't wash away
Can you look out the window
Without your shadow getting in the way
Oh you're so beautiful
With an edge and a charm
But so careful
When I'm in your arms
'Cause you're working
Building a mystery
Holding on and holding it in
Yeah you're working
Building a mystery
And choosing so carefully
You woke up screaming aloud
A prayer from your secret g#$
You feed off our fears
And hold back your tears
Give us a tantrum
And a know it all grin
Just when we need one
When the evening's thin
Oh you're a beautiful
A beautiful fucked up man
You're setting up your
Razor wire shrine
'Cause you're working
Building a mystery
Holding on and holding it in
Yeah you're working
Building a mystery
And choosing so carefully
'Cause you're working
Building a mystery
Holding on and holding it in
Yeah you're working
Building a mystery
And choosing so carefully
