Uploaded New Songs To Doltunes
I've gotten around to uploading the Melvin Took (Peter Greenstone) songs to Mera's doltunes song request page. While at it I uploaded U2's How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. Also, I added MySpace artists. Chicki (Chuck Biscuits to you) pointed out a goth rockabilly outfit named The Cult of the Psycic Fetus. I downloaded about 5 of their tunes and put them in the request list. From their web page I found an odd act named Uncle Scratch's Gospel Revival which seems to be punk christian rock, I'm amused by it so far. They had about 4 songs on their MySpace page which I've downloaded and put in the requester.
I may stop buying new music for a while. I have a Kyle Riabko CD coming in the mail right now and there are two or three indie CDs that I have my eye on for purchase in the near future. After that I think I'll temporarily cut myself off. I'm finally starting to eat through the "never played" song list and that feels good. That smart playlists contents were hovering around the 3000 song mark for quite a while. I was adding more new songs than I was listening to new music. Right now it's around 1700 songs and that feels like nice progress in exposing my ears to new sounds. Once I've gotten through the complete "never played" list (and once I run out of free indie downloads to listen to) I'll probably start back into my online CD buying wishlist.

Spread out on the nightstand
The spirit of team
Salvation is another chance
A sore loser
Yelling with my mouth shut
A cracking portrait
The fondling of the trophies
The null of losing
Can you afford that luxury?
A sore winner
But I'll just keep my mouth shut
It shouldn't bother me
But it does
The small victories
The cankers and medallions
They keep me thinking that someday
I might beat you
But I'll just keep my mouth shut
The little nothings
It shouldn't bother me
But it does
If I speak at one contant volume
At one constant pitch
At one constant rhythm
Right into your ear
You still won't hear
You still won't hear
You still won't hear
You still won't hear
You still won't hear
You still won't hear
You still won't hear!
