Cylindrian Recap and You Can Go Home Again
Well, this time I managed to take some screen shots of the concert. It's so tough to remember to snap pictures when hosting live music events. First off I'm busy enjoying the music. Second I'm busy enjoying the music :)
Cyindrian's show, just before the holiday break, was a really enjoyable one for me. She got her stream working just in time after some technical problems earlier in the day. The SL client itself was acting odd - the music player was cutting out - acting kinda jittery. For the few that knew her music stream URL pasting it into iTunes or Winamp solved the problem and the stream sounded smooth and beautiful.
Cyl played "St. Teresa" by Joan Osborne. That's Joan Osborne, not Kelly Osbourne. Kelly is Ozzy's daughter and Jack's sister. Joan is a goddess of beauty, grace, talent and a silky smooth voice I would copulate with if given the chance... wait... I mean... no - I meant that. The song is originally from the album Relish. I have it and three different live versions of it including a version from VH-1 duets in duet form with Melissa Etheridge. I absolutely love the song. The album version has 47 plays alone in my iTunes library and the live versions together add another 17. From a list of over 30,200 songs that's a pretty heavy number of repeat plays, let me tell you. In fact there are only 16 other songs in my jukebox that have more plays - of those 6 of them are other Joan Osborne songs.
I thought that Cyl's rendition of the Joan Osborne song was nice. I enjoyed hearing it and hope I am afforded the pleasure again.
Cat Gisel was present again as was Tryggvi Gundersen. I've not seen Trygg in a long time and to have him start showing up for the Exile live shows kinda touched me. No, not in that way you silly pervs.
We had another good turn out with many Shelter regulars in attendance. Sumar Morgan, Travis Lambert, Reina Quine, Merle Widget and so many others. It's so nice to see Travis back and to have him out to the show!
So, it turns out that the decorations at Exile have been taken down! Even though Isabel did in fact only have one xmas tree decoration placed out for the dark nasty weeks of December it's still up. The candy canes, trees, sprinkles and other annoyances have all been removed from Exile. I have now reset my world home position from Isabel back to Swinside. Woot, home again, again.

I keep all my settings ratcheted down. I don't care as much for pretty as for usable. :)
