Various Stuff - Google AdSense, Links, "Blog Roll" Update
Mera recently added Google AdSense to her blog. I swear that I did not add AdSense here in an attempt to mimik the purple goddess, but rather was investigating right at the time I noticed she added it anyway :) I'm sure no one will mind - it's a harmless text only advert on the side of the page after all. I also realize it's currently rather ugly - I hope to customize the border colors at some point to make it fit in with this default blog template a bit better. I added the AdSense to the main index page and the entries page, taking a moment to match the links between the two as well.
Speaking of, while I was at it I took the time to add some new folks to my "Blog Roll", which is a term I think is used for the links to other blogs on the side there. The new additions include Merle Widget (overdue), EricAtRandom (EAR to me), Rosa Gardner (how did I fail to notice that the sweet Rosa G. had a blog?) and Alexander Lapointe. Alex is an indie music fan as I am and a recent post by Merle on his blog makes me wonder if I should invite these two to upload music to the M2M library :)
I also recently read about SECONDtunes (T^2). This looks like a really good project - I wish them the best and I hope you'll consider using their services to access SL musicians's music.
From the SL music blog I discovered that Komuso also has a blog. You can find it at http://www.sonicviz.com/music/members/6/blog.php. Komuso has posted a survey to ask some basic questions of the average Second Life concert goer - give it a shot if you have a moment.
Cylindrian has been busy updating her web presence. If you've not seen the pages lately stop by her website or her blog for new layouts, graphics, links to purchase and other info.
Oh, and doing a vanity/ego google search after I returned from vacation landed a hit I hadn't seen before. A blog entry titled "History of Religion in SL" has a link to one of my earlier rants/posts on religion. Interesting that this Fountain blog has links to all different types of religions in Second Life but fails to link to or mention the Atheist or Agnostic groups that exist - Atheist Newchurch's group even has occasional meetings on Sundays (does that count as a church? worship session? am I a deacon or something? these and other questions sure to be ignored by anyone reading this drivel!)
I suppose I'll round this random stuff out with a few links that caught my eye on other blogs. Alexander Lapointe linked us to "Nothing but Green Lights" - a website dedicated to British indie music per Alex. Merle Widget recommended an internet radio stream, which I will likely add to the Jukebox with its streaming feature addition in the next version, XRM Alternative.
OK - that's all for now. Have fun out there!

Hey, thanks for the SECONDtunes shoutout! I just ~w~a~s~t~e~d~ invested about an hour and a half back-reading your posts and those that you link to. Great blog!
(PS - No strikethrough?! But how can I be clever without strikethrough?)

Great to see you back, Dol! :) One of these days I need to get a blog of my own. /sigh... if only there were 36 hours in a day :)

Travis, thanks for stopping by. See you for the meeting this Friday. :)
Bobby, thanks also for stopping by and ~w~a~s~t~i~n~g~ spending some time here. You're doing some good things over there at SECONDtunes - keep it up and make the Second World a better place for my musician friends!

Bobby, I've added strikethrough as a valid tag here, thanks for catching the oversight :)

Actually, Second faith now includes most of the atheist/humanist links on SL. The omission was only due to it being a work in progress. This is a project for InfoIsland library, not a partisan selection, and will eventually be as comprehensive as the demands of updating allow.
