Pics From Royal Bean Kickoff
Yesterday we had a bit of an event at the Shelter in Swinside.
Cylindrian Rutabaga and friends were performing live at a coffee house in North Carolina named the Royal Bean. As a bonus they were streaming the event into Second Life and we at the Shelter in Swinside were lucky enough to be one of the locations where the stream was made available.

While I was there several people popped in to dance and party with us. Chill Moksung and I got a dance line started and soon enough others were joining in.
Cylindrian was nice enough to thank us for streaming the feed at our rec center, which I thought was a nice touch. She said that she would try to stop in at some point but I was unable to stay for the entire event. Luckily for me I was able to catch the kickoff and I got to hear a few of Cyl's songs and got to help Cainin Griffith with the sound with a tiny bit of feedback from in-world.
I set some signs out on the property, both inside the dance area and out on the patio, so people would have a clue as to what the live stream meant during the long event.
People really seemed to be enjoying themselves as the event was getting underway. I'm sorry I was not able to stay for more than the very beginning. I really hope that people hung out, listened, and enjoyed themselves throughout the day. I'm sure that Coal did from her blog entry mentioning that day.
