Challenge #8 Response: Grandma Visits

Shockwave Plasma has posted the latest not-a-meme challenge on her website. Shockies asks us the important question "What would you show your Grandmother in SL?"

I think I may still have a living grandmother. Supposing I were to see her under circumstances where she wanted to discuss something other than her ailments I would likely not talk about Second Life.

However, let's pretend the circumstances could happen. The sentiment behind the question makes sense to me. Basically, someone you love is interested in Second Life and you want to share details on the positive happy parts of being an SL resident.

I would show this hypothetical grammie the Shelter in Isabel and/or take grammie to a live music show at the Sky Stage. The Shelter is run as a clean environment. The typical social interaction there is fun and interesting for most new users. Live music is one of the most fun and one of the most clean activities in SL imho - I'd love to share most any show with a friend or relative.

At first I considered saying that I would take her to see satanic visions but you would see right through that joke, wouldn't you?
