Good thinking, Dolmere. I've established the category "Gubernatorial Campaign" on Evans Avenue Exit for much the same purpose.

Ah yes, tagging. Myg and I struggle with this--as tags have an impact on the way your blog turns up in search results. We fight a self-destructive urge to use cryptic tags that barely make sense to us, have little utility for readers, and are blind to searches, such as: "mygtastic" or "burgable."
Gradually we are learning to tag with boring-but-useful terms like "fashion," "weapons," and "cheese."

Cheese? Did someone say cheese? Cheeeeeese Gromit! Cheeese!
My tags here have grown slowly over time as certain interests have hit me and then seemed to have a general related category about them. Most go unused :) Such is life.
Thanks for stopping by Erbo and Alexander.
