RFL Show Recap and Change of Venue Tonight

Thursday I played a solo basstastic perversion show for the Relay For Life fair. Mimi Carpenter joined me at the beginning of the set for a quick relaycast of a few songs. It was our first time streaming with just the two of us so that made it extra fun. The songs are basstastic perversions with Mimi singing (and playing a little guitar too!) over top of it.

We'll be doing this again tonight due to an unfortunate turn of events. My 6PM show at SoHo has been cancelled due to unforseen RL interruptions for the venue hosts. Luckily for us there is a backup plan with a nice twist - I'll join Mimi at Nitida ridge to perform on that stage. Instead of us each doing 15 minutes solo at our respective venues we will instead perform a Max+Mimi relaycast at Nitida ridge before Max joins us to complete the hour with our threewaycast.

Tonight, Sat. March 22nd at 6PM SLT at Nitida ridge - SLURL

Here are some pics of the RFL show that Feline Slade took:

Feline says: 'Vint Falken pledged a L$5000 donation to Relay for Life if Dolmere Talamasca sang the word "God" as part of his perfornace of "Closer", the Nine Inch Nails song, during his RFL appearance. A memorable event, for certain.'

This time around I really sang the line as originally written. Vint offered to donate 2,500L to RFL if I sang "g-d" in the song. I replied that there were two instances where I might say it so was she willing to pay 2,500L per instance. I sang the line as written twice and she coughed up 5,000L for the good of the Relay effort! WOOT!

Leave it to Vint to move from veiled hints to outright announcing our little in-world group on the web.

outright announcing our little in-world group on the web. Shouldn't I have done that? I'll .. euhm... adjust the blogpost if you want it to stay 'under radar', but honestly, I do not see a reason for that?

And, hun? You sang the 'g-d' firmly, steadily and without hesistation. I'm proud of you! *grins*

It's been a grass roots thing so far as you mentioned in your first blog post. My invitation was an in-world one. You'll note I've not blogged about it here although it would have been an easy thing to do :)

The intent was to keep it under the radar for as long as possible. I had been asking artists - both directly and via group IM - not to mention the "bump bombs" or "group efforts" directly on 61 comment walls. The intent was to avoid hanging a neon sign up that we're organized.

I didn't, and won't, ask you to remove the entries as I think it's now a little too late to be under anyone's radar.

SL artists: I rescind my request to avoid commenting on bump bombs. You've all been amazingly understanding and cooperative on that count! We're no longer under the radar so it's time to chat as freely as you want about our group activities :)

Sojjie... :(

These comments are meant to signify that "it's obvious that an us+them mentality is starting to percolate, which I was trying to avoid by 'staying under the radar'" The new sibling rivalry bump should go a long way to righting things between the tikes in the back seats of the van enjoying the long and winding road we're traveling down together! (I hope, and really think it will)
