Different-yet-the-same - munch
While I was on my wonderful vacation to England I got the wild idea to pick up a little notebook. I used it to jot down things that I found interesting. Turns of phrase, colloquialisms, verbal oddities.
Some, in hindsight, were more a product of my being immersed in something so overwhelmingly different-yet-the-same. Some are... well... I'll try to get around to posting some here, shall I?
"Get some munch"

"Get some munch" - I've tried this on some friends and they all reacted the same as me. Get some food, of course! Except, not really. If you said you had the munchies you wouldn't really be saying "I want dinner", right? You'd be saying you wanted some snacks. Get some munch is closest to get some snacks.
