Temp-on-Shelter

Before you all go thinking I'm not blogging because I'm so busy attempting to turn myself into the ringleader of the "new" Shelter, I should say that I've been busy with work, and busier with theatre stuff. Yes, I have an offline life, now and again. I've seen the big blue room and the big, flaming ball of gas doesn't scare me (provided I have sunscreen). And for the record, the Shelter in Exile is not the "new" Shelter, it truly is a temporary home for some Shelter events. Think of it as the first of many Shelter annexes, or the Swinside campus of the Shelter. What we really need is one of those nifty vacuum tubes to send messages and objects back and forth between the two locations.

We have been having a bit of fun around the place - Mera and FireEyes are still working on the building, but I dig the shape so far. We had a little beach party for Halloween this weekend.

I don't have a good shot of it, but FireEyes has made some killer new seating for the gameshows - the seats flip down like stadium seats. Very cool. There really have been a lot of wonderful folks coming to the SiE offering help, which is quite a testament to the impact the Shelter has had on the lives of so many folks.

One interesting side effect of this, is that I was talking to Jaycatt about land and how handy it is to own land on both sides (or in my case, three sides) of a region border - twice the capacity for events. Region capacity is a subject that is, I'm sure, near and dear to the hearts of folks like Jaycatt who regular max sims when they perform in SL. As a result, Jaycatt purchased some land adjacent to one of my parcels. :) Yay, a good neighbour!

And my old lake property sold.

Congrats on selling your property. I shall miss the old lake. Thanks for offering to host the events on your land Coal. I'm sure I'm not the only one grateful for a respite from the craziness.

Thanks Coal! Yes, I'm very happy with the new property ^^ It's been a ton of fun building on it! With luck, our first Friday show will be there on the 17th :)

Coal... Coal... I seem to recall someone by that name.

There's a flaming ball of gas in the sky???

You mean the Super-Fluro.
